今後の大学院生Visa②
Uです:

以下も大学側から今後のVisa取得について、連絡があったものです。

Visa changes from 4 July

From 4 July there will be some immigration changes which may affect you:

1) Bank statements: when supplying bank statements for renewing a visa the UK Border Agency will still expect statements to be dated no more than one month earlier than the date at which you post your application. However, the date they use on the statement will now be the CLOSING BALANCE DATE, not the ISSUE DATE.

2) Students from 'Low Risk' countries will no longer have to show a bank statement or a qualification document (such as a transcript or graduation certificate) when renewing their visa. You will still be expected to produce these documents if the UKBA asks for them, but not to send them with the Tier 4 (G) visa renewal form. 'Low risk'
countries are:

Argentina, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan (those who hold a passport issued by Taiwan that includes the number of the identification card issued by the competent authority in Taiwan in it), Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America or a British National Overseas.

3) Dependants: from 4 July it will no longer be possible to bring in dependants if you are (a) an undergraduate, (b) a postgraduate on a course lasting less than 12 months. The only exception to this is if you are a Government sponsored student on a course of more than 6 months.

If you are currently an undergraduate, or postgraduate with less than 12 months of your course left, and you have dependants here in the UK there is no need to worry. They can stay, but if you need to extend your visa they MUST apply at the same time.

If you have a baby born in the UK who does not have a visa, it will no longer be possible to apply for your baby's visa in the UK from 4 July. If this applies to you, please email me for further advice as soon as possible.

4) A new Tier 4 (General) application form will be published on 4 July (the new Policy Guidance is already available).

We will be updating the Immigration Advice Service website in time for 4 July. However, due to staff holidays, it will be a couple of weeks before we can put a new sample Tier 4 application form up. If you are renewing your Tier 4 (G) student visa from this date, please make sure you have the correct, up-to-date, application form. You can follow the links on our website.
